Just thought you all might like to keep an eye on this as it will be kept up-to-date by a number of people (myself included) and contains all the relevent info at this time =)
Whirlpool Wiki is useless since Linksys has no correct support structure to handle bug reports or customer requets... unch:
maybe you can add that upnp removes other single port forwards when the table is full.. for instance if you used all the forwards .. and enable upnp then it will remove the services you set in order to allow a port forward .. maybe it is an idea to create a seperate table for upnp in memory or something.. and let it check first if this port isn't allready forwarded to an other ip or something..
firmware 1.01.05 - it seems that it is impossible to disable "Snmp V3" (menu administration - management) firmware 1.01.01 - the connection with a laptop and the integrated wifi (IBM T43 - sonoma) does not work properly (the signal is droping, slowing done the surfing...) (haven't tested if 1.01.05 fix this issue, too lazy for now to do the testing)
IPV6-MIB::ipv6Forwarding.0 = INTEGER: 0 IPV6-MIB::ipv6DefaultHopLimit.0 = INTEGER: 0 maybe something to allow that .. so you can use ipv6 on your clients.. without having to use udp packets..
on page Forward_UPnP.asp for single port forward there is choise "tcp or udp" why not both? like range forward this saves up some slots.. also maybe a few more slots.. cause for me it is unsufficiant.
Added. Also, ADSL2+ for me was incredibly unstable on the 1.01.13 firmware. Dropped back to 1.01.00 and its perfectly stable.
mmode kills the connection ! also when choosing mmode it still returns gdmt in status page (latest firmware Firmware WAG54GV2-UK AnnexA ETSI v1.01.15.000)
not sure wether this is a feature or a bug .. but when i connect using the modem it doesn't show anything about it in remote log maybe it needs to be more verbose or allow a level of verbose.. for your choosing, then all tcp traffic is logged but when a dsl connection is established doesn't seem to be visible on remote syslogd FEATURE * level of verbose to your choosing * support ipv6 for native ipv6 supported isps * Display Total Packets or bytes sent/received on Status page but also show it in readable formats like MB GB * total bytes.. cause most of the time it is reset every disconnection.. * option to run it as access point.. or router+modem .. and so forth BUG/FEATURE * show ppp connection established, or errors.. on remote logging * Email header says "From: "test" <noreply@xxxx.xxx>" change name to something else then test .. router whatever but not test * "Please select a pvc connection:" says a number, use connection name instead.. could be confusing, not sure if you can even have more then one otherwize totaly pointless to even show it. * wpa using shared key apparently won't connect for some reason had to go to wep
That would be because multimode just allows the router to use whatever standard is going to deliver the highest speed on your line, and in your case it was obviously G.DMT.
maybe feature to set all traffic true a specific proxy or a list of clients that they have to use a specific proxy one you define..
last time i checked on eu version porttriggering didn't work either .. not only au oh and maybe a page on the router that shows your wan ip without having to login .. mywanip.asp or something that could be verry usefull i guess..
Bug the auto vpi/vci finder is not working it can't even find 8/35 most common setting.. so it has to be broken ! * using WAG54GV2-UK_AnnexA_ETSI_v1.01.15_000_code.bin atm
downgrading the unit resulted in freezing the router and returning it back to the shop.. got me a new one hehe is there a procedure when your router is totaly fuckedup? like so you can still flash it..
when the router froze i disconnected it pressed the reset for 30 seconds tryed tftp no and do not try it cause that is what frooze it up in the first place ! after i used tftp.. since downgrading true the http interface wasn't working.. tryed tftp with same firmware to test it.. and gues what nothing the wlan didn't come up just the switch no dsl nothing ..
