hello to all from spain i followed a howto about apply POE to wrt54gl , i soldered on wan pins : -Pin 4 & 5 - DC Positive (Blue and Striped Blue) - Pin 7 & 8 - DC Negative (Brown and Striped Brown) to both pins vdc and gnd on the other side like this picture http://likestuff.globat.com/WRT54GL POE Hack/large/poehack 043.jpg. also i put a diode for reverse polarisations. then i used a poe injector from tp-link , after connecting to router , i checked voltages on both cables , all ok. then i connected to the router and everithing is ok , all correct. but unknown component smells like hot , , as time passes cpu is more warm , tx wifi is at 28 mw , and finally i disconected from the supply , the component is a transistor called U8. what do you think maybe happening , i checked soldering points , and i isolated diode with a cover, but i dont want to keep it running more time with this anomaly....
