Bandwidth monitoring review

Hi, I plan to install Tomato. I have looked through some of the bandwidth monitoring topics on the forum but they all seem to be 10 years old and wonder if there has been any specific updates on the Tomato firmware to monitor/report on bandwidth usage.
For instance the Huawei router firmware has an option where you can specify monthly usage limit i.e 10gig and shows a running talley of that and if you have used 90% of that there will be a pop up message on your pc warning you that you have used 90% of your monthly quota.
Is this possible in Tomato or can it be created via ip tables etc?
Many thanks for creating this software as I am used to dd-wrt but this seem more stable from the reviews.
    :)

    Tomato doesn't have bandwidth quota.

While TomatoUSB has bandwitdh limiter (new_qos) and IP traffic reporting (cstats), these components are vastly different pieces of code who don't integrate together.

I haven't personally tested it yet but I just recently discovered YAMon which looks pretty impressive & seems to be under active development. As long as you don't need to use Cut Through Forwarding or UPnP (which are apparently both incompatible with the tool) then it's worth a look.

If you end up getting it up & running I'd love to hear what you think.

Interesting. I'll set up on my router and see how it plays out.
